All ABOUT JAKE WOLF

NEW SITE COMING FALL 2021

I was raised in the Washington D.C. area and went to a music school in New England. I played on the east coast for years while in school, and moved to Colorado in 1997.  Since then I have been the drummer for Shakedown Street, plus dozens of other bands, and musicians. Check out www.Jakethedrummer.com  for information about my drumming.  Currently I live in Vail, Colorado, one of the most beautiful places in the world.  I love the Vail community and put forth a strong effort to keep live-music flourishing. I have been the music teacher at an elementary school in the Vail valley since Sept 2008.  It's truly amazing to have my own “School of Rock” in Vail.  I am also deeply involved in several nonprofit organizations which include: The First Notes Orchestra, where I teach a drum ensemble to young kids, and The Realm of Caring, which helps raise funding to put musical instruments in the hands of children. I will be a direct liaison between the community and State Bridge, inside and outside the Vail Valley.  For a few weeks each year, I also volunteer at ski camps for Access Anything.  Access Anything is a nonprofit organization that helps improve the quality of life for millions of people living with disabilities by encouraging them to enjoy life to its fullest through a sense of freedom provided by travel, adventure, and a “never-give-up” attitude.  I feel I am so blessed.  Life is what I make of it, and I try to live each day as if it were my last.
